Level Design

Ancient Shrine In A Forest

In this project, I wanted to portray that there was once a shrine to a deity in a deep dense forest. This scene is a night scene for the “intense” ambiance with dense fog, god rays, unique camera work and lighting.

When creating this projectone of the key factors I knew I needed for a night scene was light blue lighting to give the artifical night glow with the increased redish-orange glow on the fire. Altering the shadows to give the shadows a more deep darkness to them to make them “pop” in the god-ray moon light gave the extra feel of night.

Using assets from Quixel Mixer brought life to this scene. Even though the character seen in this scene is the unreal mannequin, the Quixel Assets definitely gave life to a realistic scene in a forest.

Genre Design

3 Tiered Adventure Design

This particular level was something I was wanting to portray something different and unique to me. Something I have never tried before. While using Unreal Engine 4, I created a 3 tiered level scenario where each level transitions into the next corresponding level.

This type of level setup was a bit difficult, mainly because in Unreal Engine 4, I have never been able to get the lighting just right. Underground scenes have posed to be a bit difficult. I am however, very proud of this particular level.

With multiple interactions, doors opening and closing, it brings a sense of needing to escape. Giving a bit of anxiety of being trapped underground.

Cinematic Creation

Verellia: Odin’s Quest

In this particular project. I was working with Unreal Engine 5 and the cinematics. I setup, ran transitions and showed the most important area’s of this particular game.

After the Video was rendered, I also did all the post-render tweaks. Using DaVinci Resolve I was able to make the video come to life with few tweaks to lighting and colorization.
